I often prepare this mixture for the whole family to maintain the immune system, especially in autumn and winter, when the organism is susceptible to all kinds of viruses and colds.
It’s good and really efficient. All the ingredients are simple and well known especially in folk medicine: lemon, ginger and honey.
Everybody is familiar with the advantageous properties of lemon, which in addition to vitamin C contains organic acids, greatly boosts immunity and is recommended for fighting colds.
Ginger is an absolutely magical and useful root. And what can I say about honey- thank the bees 🙂
The preparation is simple and won’t take much time. So …
To prepare this elixir of health will need:
- 2 smaller or 1 large lemon, along with the peel
- about 200 ml of honey
- 1 medium ginger root
- 1 glass jar 0.5L
Wash the lemon, peel the ginger. Chop into slices. Grind in a blender (or in a meat cutter).
Add honey and mix. Put the mixture in a clean jar, close it and keep it in the fridge.
You can take 1 tablespoon every day, 1 teaspoon for kids. You can also put it in tea or other warm beverages. It’s very tasty, and the most important thing- it’s healthy!
