Turmeric is now proven to be an effective answer for just about any disease. This orange-colored root has anti-inflammatory properties that stop the growth of pre-cancerous cells, help Alzheimer’s, lower bad cholesterol, and treat skin cancer. Turmeric is effectively used for arthritis, stomach pain, heartburn (dyspepsia), stomach bloating, diarrhea, intestinal gas, loss of appetite, liver problems, jaundice and gallbladder disorders.
It has also been found to be effective for headaches, colds, bronchitis, lung infections, menstrual problems, fibromyalgia, leprosy, fever, cancer, depression, water retention, worms, and kidney problems. Turmeric Lemonade (for 4 servings)
- 4 cups cold filtered or sparkling water
- 2 tablespoons freshly grated or powdered turmeric
- 4 tablespoons of 100% maple syrup, honey or Stevia if you are avoiding sugar
- Juice of 1 1/2 lemons or limes
- Juice of 1 blood orange (optional)
Add the ingredients into a small pitcher, stir, and serve with a slice of lemon as a garnish.
